On Thursday, the whole school had a special RE learning day. The theme for the day was “What gives you hope?”
To start the day, we all thought about the writing of Jeremiah the prophet in the Old Testament (ch 29 v 11), where God says to him:
” ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’
The children did four activities thinking about this theme:
Who do you want to be in the future?, What is your message of hope or warning for the future? What does the future we want look like? What are the questions we have for God about our future?
Moving around the school and learning in different classrooms with different teachers was really fun!
