Marion Leeper has let me know about the following event:

Come and enjoy a drink and an early evening chillout time by the river on Jesus Green and listen to stories – stories unashamedly for grownups, stories to take you out of the week’s worktime stress and into another world before you start the weekend. True stories, traditional stories, and who knows, other kinds of spoken word – or bring along your own story to tell. We’re starting with an evening of stories about the river Cam and all things wet and wild and watery. Bring a rug and enjoy the hospitality of the brand new Kiosk on the green – let’s take over the green with stories! And what’s more, it’s all FREE!

This Friday we will tell stories to celebrate the river Cam, from wellspring to watersmeet.

Also:

Stories for children 2nd and 9th August, 11.00-12.00

Free drop-in story sessions for children also at the Kiosk.  The same as above, but with more songs and jokes and joining-in.
