Everybody had a really wonderful time at Sports Day yesterday. The weather was perfect, with a slightly cool breeze and plenty of sunshine!
It was fantastic to see the children really having fun taking part and encouraging each other – the older children really helping the younger ones. Although they are all competitive, it was very healthy competition, with enjoyment of the event for everybody being paramount.
Sutherland (the yellow team) narrowly beat Turing (the red team) as a result of their energetic running of the daily mile event by Year 6. Turing came first in the behaviour competition, having the most ‘lolly sticks’.
Children particularly commended for their behaviour were:
Turing – Sissi and Sarah
Sutherland – Daniel and Flora
Cavendish (blue) – Franek and Ainara
Attenborough (green) – Nick and Lucy
