Eagle Class have been writing war-themed sonnets, inspired by poets who wrote during World War I and II. They chose whether to write on the theme of evacuation or a soldier’s experience on the battlefield. The poems are currently exhibited in St Clement’s Church, which is open every day next week between 12pm and 4pm – please call in and take a look, if you are able. There are some photographs below to give you a flavour of the exhibition and a video of the children singing ‘There’ll be Bluebirds over the White Cliffs of Dover’!
