In Religious Education, the children in classes 2 and 3 have been learning about Creation.

Class 2 have been focusing on the question ‘Who made the world?’. Class 3 have been learning about ‘What do Christians learn about the Creation Story?’.

As part of this learning, both classes have visited Great St Mary’s Church to carry out relevant activities. Class 2 went on a Creation Treasure Hunt, finding symbols representing all the things described in the story, around the church. After that, they made a beautiful representation of the world, with symbols attached, to remind them of the story. Several of them were able to recount this very accurately in Collective Worship today. Please see the photographs, showing some children’s ‘creations’.

Class 3 firstly visited King’s College Chapel, where they explored some of the wonderful creations on humankind by looking at the sculptures and art works there. Following this, they created their own sculptures from clay at Great St Mary’s Church, the following week. Photos of this trip to follow!
