On Tuesday this week, four children took part in the final of the ‘Schools South of the River’ Public Speaking Competition. The Year 3 and 4 children had to speak about whether children should be able to choose what they learn at school. It was really interesting to hear their views! The children had really carefully thought about how to present these to an audience. The topic for Year 5 and 6 was ‘Deep Space Exploration or Deep Sea Exploration?’ – again some interesting ideas. We all learned a great deal about the Mariana Trench! As you can see from the photograph, the setting of the theatre at Peterhouse was a great venue!
