How you can help the School

Save As You Shop

Amazon Smile: With more of us doing our Christmas shopping online this year, we thought it would be a good idea to help you help the school at the same time. When you link your Amazon account to our Friends of Park Street Amazon Smile account, Amazon will donate .5% of the cost of your shopping to the school.

Easyfundraising: We’ve registered Friends of Park Street C of E Primary School with #easyfundraising, which means over 4,000 shops and sites will now donate to us for FREE every time you use #easyfundraising to shop with them.

These donations will help SO MUCH, so please sign up to support us – it’s completely FREE and doesn’t take long.

Schoolfunds: We have also updated our Schoolfunds account, which is another portal you can use for your shopping while giving back to the school. Just click on the links and follow the steps to connect your accounts.

Teachers’ Wish List

Over the past few months, several parents have got in touch with us asking how they can say thank you to our hard-working teachers for everything they do for us and our children. We asked the teachers and TAs what kinds of things they would find most useful for their classrooms and they’ve put together an Amazon Wish List of their top picks, from playdough to books. Please click here to view and purchase items from the list.

Pre-Loved School Clothing Store

As previously mentioned, we have launched a second hand clothing store for Park Street branded PE items. Please email us for information on how to donate and/or purchase.

Keep in Touch

While we can’t go about our normal social lives in exactly the same way at the moment, we feel it’s so important to stay involved for you in order to keep our community alive and thriving.

As always, please keep in touch with any comments, questions, or suggestions at PTA@parkstreet.cambs.sch.uk

About the PTA

The committee meets once every half term. We have some formal positions – Chair, Secretary and Treasurer – as well as any other interested parents.

The current committee is:

Chair: We are searching for a Chairperson. Please contact PTA@parkstreet.cambs.sch.uk if you are interested.
Treasurer: Katrina Thornely
Secretary: Liz Llewellyn
Committee Members:

Jeni Prettyman
Alex Vecchio
June Stevenson
Raj Banerjee
Rox Kindersley

All the meetings are open to any parent who wants to attend. We re-elect the PTA committee each autumn, and are always interested in recruiting new members. It is a great way for parents to get involved in the school in a very positive way, as well as being very sociable. Information can be obtained from any of the committee members.

Fundraising events we organise include:

  • Summer fair on Jesus Green
  • Cake sales
  • Ice lolly sales after-school in the summer
  • Quiz night
  • Advent and Easter teas with craft activities, raffles and sales
  • Christmas Fair

Non-profit events we organise include:

  • Welcome tea for new parents during the Autumn term
  • Supporting school sports day by providing refreshments for the children
