As part of our ‘Community’ theme for Collective Worship this term, we are celebrating communities outside school that the children belong to. Ted and Xander started us off today by talking to the children about the football clubs they play for, and showed the trophies and medals they have been awarded. Ted also shared his experience of belonging to a Karate club, where he has made his way up to the purple and white belt, and has come third in the County for two years in a row! What an achievement! They both agreed that belonging to other communities has helped them to make friends out of school, and has helped them develop characteristics like teamwork, passion and communication, which they can also use to help their learning in school.
