Woodpecker Class had a fascinating trip to the Sedgewick Museum this week, to complement their rocks and fossils science learning. The most amazing sight was the fossilised bones of a hippo, found near Cambridge! They learned a great deal about what is and isn’t a fossil, and how they develop, through scrutinising specimens and playing a game with the Education Lead. Sadly, some children missed this, due to being unwell; I would highly recommend that they take a trip there, if possible, when they are well again! Please see the photographs below!
