Woodpecker Class have been learning about Islam this half term. They have been considering the question:

“How does a Muslim show submission and obedience to Allah?”

We are so lucky to have some Muslim children at Park Street – three of them helped to discuss this question with the class, and to demonstrate some of their religious practice. The Woodpeckers were also really pleased to have this opportunity to ask questions.

To show all they have learned, they performed for the school in Collective Worship today. Please see the photographs below!

Ryad explains the ritual washing performed by Muslims before prayer. This is called Wudu.

Tahum, Hashir and Ryad show Woodpecker Class the positions for prayer.
