School Council
On Monday, the School Council had a meeting to plan for Children in Need, and to discuss improvements the children would like to suggest for their school life. Here are some photographs of the Council members. We have had to be careful to keep them in their ‘bubbles’. One of the suggestions from the Key Stage Two children was to vary the ‘Daily Mile’ with some other exercises. This will be starting this week, with the House Captains leading their houses in an activity routine, on Tuesday and Thursday.
Remembrance
Our Collective Worship on Wednesday followed the theme of Remembrance. As we were not able to sing, Mrs Clipsham helped us all to learn the signs for our favourite Remembrance hymn:
Turn your thoughts on this occasion,
To those who fought and died in the war
Please see the video of Key Stage Two children performing this. We also listened to ‘The Last Post’ performed by Netherhall School, and thought about how others had made sacrifices for our freedom.
Children in Need
All the classes joined in with this by paying a small donation to wear something red or yellow, and to join in with the ‘Joe Wicks Activity Challenge’. Here are some videos and photographs, which clearly show their enthusiasm for this energetic start to the day on Friday!
