Land Use in the Local Area – Woodpecker Class

Woodpecker class had a geography excursion last week, to classify land use in the area around the school. They used a simple street map to chart their progress, and to classify the buildings they observed. I was very impressed with their use of the correct vocabulary: commercial, residential, educational and religious, were the most common types around us at Park Street. Quite a variety!
