Andrew is Curate at Great St Mary’s, the Cambridge University Church.

Andrew’s career in education spans 22 years in both the independent and state sector in the UK, as well as three years in the independent sector in South Africa. His roles have included:

  • Executive Director and Governor: Northumberland C of E Academy (all-through) – 2500 pupils (0 – 19) on seven sites, with five primaries (1535 primary pupils), a secondary provision and Sixth Form, a SLD and PMLD provision for 100 (2 – 19), and a child-minding agency – 500+ staff and a £15m budget
  • Principal and Executive Leadership team: Haberdashers’ Aske’s Federation – (all through) – 1600 pupils (3 – 19) on two sites, 150+ staff, £10m budget
  • Consultant: Aske’s Consultancy (school and academy transformation
  • Deputy Headteacher: Greenford High School, London – 1800 pupils (600+ in Sixth Form) – HR and Staff Development portfolio
  • Teacher: of English, History (GCSE and A Level) – some primary Latin
  • Wellington College, Berkshire: teacher of History
  • Milton Abbey School, Dorset: Housemaster, teacher of History, English and Classical Civilisation
  • Diocesan College, Cape Town: Teacher of History, English and German

Andrew’s career includes 8 years in the travel industry as an independent tour operator, specialising in Southern Africa. Other areas of experience include:
