If anybody in your family has symptoms of Covid-19, it is important to continue to be tested for this. Children need to be given a PCR test – Self-administered Lateral Flow tests are not accurate enough on children under 11 years old. If symptoms occur over the weekend, it is necessary to visit a test site rather than use a postal test, so that you can get the result quickly. Please let us know immediately if your child should test positive over this weekend. This is because we will have to notify all close contacts as soon as possible.
